Testimonials

“When we found out that I needed new hearing aids, it was a problem, financially and hearing-wise. Clearly, as a musician, I relied on my ears for my livelihood and my enjoyment of life. Going without the hearing aids was a terrible option. Paying for new ones felt like a worse one. And then the folks at The Hearing Loss Clinic said that The Campbell McLaurin Foundation for Hearing Deficiencies may be able to help. What a god-send you have turned out to be! Your gracious gift, along with the $900 from Aids to Daily Living, have been a massive help to Bev and I in our time of need, and I wanted to just let you know that your gift has made it possible for me to regain my hearing, go back to enjoying a normal life (hearing my grandkids!), and to NOT have too large a debt as a result. Your program is truly a gift to us. Thank you! “

“I can’t express enough the gratitude I feel for the assistance that the Campbell McLaurin Foundation, along with the Provincial government, have given me in helping me acquire the gift of hearing once again, by approving an award of $2,500 towards the purchase of hearing aids. If only you knew how much this means to me, I just wish I had the money to donate to a foundation such as the Campbell McLaurin Foundation so that I could help others in the same situation. Thanks again for such a wonderful gift. “

“On behalf of my husband Manfred and I we would like to thank the foundation for their generous support in helping us obtain our Phonak hearing aids through Audiology Innovations. After years of suffering increasing hearing loss as seniors, we are so thankful to your foundation and support for seniors under the Alberta Government for making it possible for us to purchase the Phonak aids which we thought would never be a possibility because of our income. We are pleased with the service and kindness of Audiology Innovations. We have signed the satisfaction certificate and the hearing aids are working well for us. Thank you again so much. It is making a difference.”

“I received the funding confirmation letter for Erika today and I just wanted to say thank you so much to the Campbell McLaurin Foundation! The family and I really appreciate the board taking into consideration their personal situation and providing support. The funding assistance that Campbell McLaurin Foundation provides is invaluable to so many families here at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and I so appreciate the care in which applications are reviewed. “

“Our family and my dad are very grateful for the $3,000.00 grant that the Trustees of the Campbell McLaurin Foundation have awarded my dad. We are pleased to say that my dad now has his new hearing aids. It’s made a remarkable difference to both my dad and our family. Hearing is a precious gift that we cannot take for granted. It makes such a big difference to understanding, be understood, and to be able to communicate clearly and with comfort. The Campbell McLaurin Foundation has allowed my dad to afford a new set of hearing aids and to enjoy the wonderful gift of hearing again. Thank you! “
